This monochromatic 2014 advertisement for Cancer Council NSW pans across a line-up of major Australian female singers, who each perform a portion of the Divinyls hit 'I Touch Myself'.

A tribute to singer-songwriter Chrissy Amphlett, who died of breast cancer, the ad prioritises vulnerability, support and frankness to raise awareness about the disease. The format is stripped-down and arresting, where intimate head-and-shoulders shots and the gradual layering of strings over vocals evoke both individual experiences and collective connection. Promoting early breast cancer detection as a shared social concern, it foregrounds a community of women, drawing on star power to amplify its message.

The prominent singers in this clip are Deborah Conway, Connie Mitchell, Little Pattie, Sarah Blasko, Olivia Newton-John, Kate Ceberano and Suze De Marchi (also filmed were Sarah McLeod, Megan Washington and Katie Noonan). This was the first video released by the I Touch Myself Project, which has since created additional works to promote breast cancer awareness.
