5DN radio station advertisement
1977
This groovy shout-out from 1977 is for 5DN, Adelaide’s longest-running radio station.
5DN’s first broadcast was in 1925, so perhaps it was taking a little while to get with the times – though DJ Jeremy is suave in a safari suit, he’s spinning Perry Como and interviewing Dick Van Dyke.
However, the commercial makes its case for 5DN having its finger on the pulse of news and entertainment, and for being ‘involved with Adelaide’. 5DN is still going strong today.
