Getting to NFSA Canberra
We are located in the heart of Canberra’s cultural precinct on McCoy Circuit, less than a kilometre from the city centre.
The ACT Government has information about potential disruption to local traffic near the NFSA during the light rail stage 2A and raising London Circuit projects.
Driving and parking
You can pay to park at the NFSA between McCoy Circuit and Ellery Crescent for up to three hours (Monday–Friday, daytime).
Parking is free after 5.30 pm and on weekends, with additional parking available to the south side of the building off McCoy Circuit.
There is also limited, timed street parking on Liversidge Street.
There are six accessible parking spaces across two car parks, both off McCoy Circuit.

Drop off
There is a 15-minute free parking zone in front of the McCoy Circuit entrance for pick ups and drop offs. There is also a drop-off point on Liversidge Street.
After-hours access
Our main entrance on McCoy Circuit is open for all after-hours events, from 1 hour prior.
Public transport
We recommend taking public transport where possible.
Bus
Route 53 – Dickson Shops to National Museum of Australia.
Seven days a week. Get off at Liversidge Street (stop 3487) at the rear entrance of the NFSA.
City Interchange: The City Interchange connects to rapid and local bus routes across Canberra. The interchange is a 15-minute walk from NFSA, or connect via Route 53.

The NFSA is a 15-minute walk from the Alinga Street light rail interchange in Canberra’s city centre.

There are places to park and lock your bike or scooter.
