Kate Randall (Kris McQuade) visits her boyfriend Rick Munro (Mel Gibson) in prison.
Kate: Enjoying your vacation?
Rick: Yeah. There is only one thing wrong with it.
Kate: What's that?
Rick: You're on the wrong side of the bars.

In the previous scene, Rick was seen smoking in bed, looking at a photo of Kate on the brick wall.
Kate, who also keeps a photo of Rick on her bedstand, is questioned by another lover about why she never talks about him. She responds that Rick 'is in the liquor business', and he 'spends a lot of time behind bars'.
