The original recording line-up for the Angels’ signature song ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ (1976). Left to right: Peter ‘Charlie’ King (drums), brothers John Brewster (rhythm guitar) and Rick Brewster (lead guitar), and Bernard ‘Doc’ Neeson (vocals and bass).
The band formed in Adelaide in 1974 as ‘The Keystone Angels’ but dropped Keystone from their name after signing with Sydney music company, Albert Productions. ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’ was the group’s first A-side single, released in record stores from 22 March 1976.
