Do you remember the words to TV network idents, or ever feel the urge to get up and dance to the ABC news theme? You’re apparently not alone. To break up all the award-giving, the 1987 Logie Award producers asked musical theatre star Michael Cormack to sing a medley of TV station themes, backed by the Jillian Fitzgerald Dancers. The result is pure kitschy ‘80s bliss, with era-defining big hair, blinding white outfits and a bevy of dancers with rolled-up sleeves and ruffled skirts giving it all they’ve got, even if what they’re performing doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Which station was ‘Bringing the world back home’? Who was ‘Still the one’? If you watched TV in the ‘80s, this clip will bring back memories. Network Ten hosted the Logies in 1987, so it’s perhaps no surprise that their ident gets the most airtime. We give you ‘10 out of 10 Australia’, indeed.
