'Feel It in the Black' is a collaboration between Melbourne-based producer Kuzich and Perth MC Aćol Agaar Apollo, known professionally as POOKIE.

The R&B, soul and hip hop track reflects POOKIE's sensuous and playful style, grounded by a hypnotic beat that traces the unfurling of desire. Coy wordplay, bold expression and unique percussive elements speak to POOKIE's wealth of influences. Born in Nairobi to South Sudanese parents before relocating to Australia, the artist is inspired by the music of her Dinka heritage, the confessional lyrics of Missy Elliott and the American hip hop and rap scene.

A multi-disciplinary creative, POOKIE also works in spoken-word poetry, painting, drawing and sculpture. Her music is a vehicle for personal expression that pushes the bounds of the Australian music industry, especially in the sphere of hip hop.
