Digitised through the NFSA’s audiotape preservation efforts, this radio promo for a March 1975 episode captures Countdown’s early high-energy promotional style.

Unlike the familiar Brian May-composed theme, this spot uses a 1970 English rock library track. The actual episode it promoted (episode 12) is now believed lost.
