Cinesound Review takes its audience behind the scenes of radio station 2UW, ‘always on the air, broadcasting atop of the State Theatre, Sydney’.

Essentially it is an advertisement, arguing that in broadcasting the station also serves the public: ‘2UW’s slogan is service!’.

In demonstrating how radio programs are staged, the segment lauds the wide range of programs available to listeners.

For the narrator, the possession of the latest technical equipment enables 2UW ‘to serve the science that in turn serves the people’, and the depiction of a clockface when transitioning between scenes underscores the fact that they broadcast 24 hours per day.
