Volunteer at the NFSA

Support Australia’s screen and sound heritage through hands-on volunteer opportunities at our Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne sites

Volunteering at the National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) offers a unique chance to:

  • support Australia’s cultural heritage
  • gain hands-on experience
  • connect with stories that shape our identity.

When it comes to collecting, looking after and sharing Australia’s audiovisual stories, we couldn’t do it without our volunteers.

Our volunteers help bring NFSA programs and projects to life by guiding visitors or working behind the scenes at our Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne sites.

Whether you’re a film, television, radio or gaming enthusiast or just keen to be part of the team, we have a range of volunteer roles available.

How to volunteer at the NFSA

Everyone is welcome to volunteer at the NFSA. We’re always looking for new members to join our team.

If you want to volunteer at the NFSA, email recruitment@nfsa.gov.au.
